Following a rebrand in November 2023, Partners in Care are now offering membership to Personal Assistants. This enables them to access all services offered by Partners in Care.
As an employee of a Direct Payment recipient, it can often be difficult for Personal Assistants to navigate the support and training available to help them carry out their job supporting individuals at home with their daily lives. For less than £1 a week Personal Assistants can now become members of Partners in Care and receive full benefits which include: high quality face-to-face and online training courses at a discounted rate. accurate, relevant, and up to date information service, via phone, email, social media, and web chat, the opportunity to network and work together to share information and ideas locally and gain access to Partners in Care’s disclosure and Barring Service at a discounted rate.
As a Personal Assistant it is important to attend the correct training to best support those being cared for. Partners in Care offer core training courses such as First Aid, Moving and Handling, Safeguarding Adults Awareness and Professional Boundaries. In attending all four training sessions as a member of Partners in Care Personal Assistants would pay £128.00 rather than the non-member total fee of £254.00 which is a saving of £126.00.
Partners in Care is a not-for-profit membership organisation representing approximately 260 independent Nursing, Residential, Supported Living and Domiciliary Care providers in Shropshire and Telford & Wrekin who are accessing these services.
