WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT FUNDING FOR 2017/18

The Workforce Development Fund(WDF) for 2017/18 is NOW open

Information on how to claim the WDF is available in our Funding Pack click here to download, we welcome new and existing WDF Members to the Care Workforce Development Partnership and invite you to start sending your WDF claims to us for processing.

 

If you are new to claiming WDF, please complete the WDF Member’s Declaration form for 2017/18 and return it to Richard Lockett at the Shropshire Partners in Care office.

You can claim WDF towards the costs of your employees completing adult social care qualifications and learning programmes that are included on the Skills for Care WDF Acceptable Units List 2017/18 for:

  • QCF Units (Qualifications Credit Framework)
  • RQF Qualifications (Regulated Qualifications Framework)
  • Non-accredited learning programmes

Please note that for WDF our next Contract milestone is 13th September 2017 when we are required to have claimed 30% of our Contract, so please send any claims that you have for completed units before this date.

During 2017/18 there will be some changes to the qualification frameworks and apprenticeships. The funding pack contains information known at this stage. Further information will be made available by Skills for Care during the year and we will update you as appropriate.

 

SHROPSHIRE PARTNERS IN CARE (SPIC) TRAINING SUBSIDY FOR 2017/18

Information on how to claim the SPIC Training Subsidy for 2017/18 is also available in the Funding Pack.

For the 2017/18 funding year we are ONLY able to accept claims from members based in the Shropshire Council area

Please note that from the 1 April 2017 you can now claim SPIC Training Subsidy in Shropshire by organisation, which means that you no longer have to split your claims by establishments if you have multiple sites.
