Safeguarding Training & Development Worker
Full Time Post (37 ½ hours per week)
Salary: £24,956.35 per annum
Shropshire Partners in Care has a vacancy for a Safeguarding Training & Development Worker. This post will develop the skills of managers in the adult independent health and social care sector in Telford & Wrekin. This will support them to improve the quality of the services that they provide and help to prevent the abuse of vulnerable people in their care.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Adult Protection Team and the Mental Capacity/ Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards Officer at Telford & Wrekin Council. The role will involve delivering awareness courses in Adult Protection, Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards and the Mental Capacity Act.
You should have a relevant health and social care qualification to at least NVQ level 4 or equivalent. You will also have experience of delivering services and training in a health and social care setting; ideally you will have a current teaching qualification or be prepared to achieve one.
You will be based at the SPIC offices in Annscroft (5 miles south of Shrewsbury) but will spend a considerable part of the time working within the Telford & Wrekin Council and in health and social care settings within Telford & Wrekin. You will, therefore, have a car available for business use or be able to meet the demands of traveling imposed by the nature of the post.
