To Proprietors / Managers of Nursing Homes in
Dear Colleagues,
Shropshire Partners in Care agreed with Shropshire County PCT that a Task & Finish Group be set up to determine a cost model for the purchase of continuing care beds. The first meeting of the group was held at the end of April and we have given ourselves until September to complete the work which will then be taken to the PCT for formal approval by November. To ensure completeness Telford & Wrekin PCT is being invited to join the process.
You can follow the progress of the group through the minutes which will be published on the SPIC web-site.
Part of the work consists of a survey of costs and I am writing to ask for your help in completing this survey. We need as good a response as possible in order to inform our work.
I should be grateful if you would take the time to fill out the survey and return it to me by Wednesday 3rd June. It will save time if you are able to complete the survey electronically but the important thing is that it is completed in one form or another. If you require assistance in completing the survey please get in touch with me.
May I assure you that individual responses to this survey will only be seen by me or others of Shropshire Partners in Care’s directly employed staff and all information given will be treated in strict confidence and will be aggregated and anonymised before being shared with other members of the Task & Finish group or the wider audience be it the PCT or SPIC Board. The information will be used to provide evidence of current costs of care in Shropshire Partners in Care’s fee negotiations with the PCTs for the 2010 /11 round of fee negotiations.
Please return your completed survey via e-mail to mdonkin@spic.co.uk or by post in an envelope addressed to Mike Donkin, C.E.O. Shropshire Partners in Care, 3, The Farriers, Annscroft,
Thanking you in anticipation of your assistance.
Mike Donkin
Chief Executive
