Course Title: Dignity in Practice

Length of Course: 3.5 hours

Aims to:

  • Promote the provision of health and care services that respect peoples’ dignity at all times
  • Support you to meet the SCIE Dignity Challenge

Learning outcomes:

  • Define what dignity is
  • Identify how to apply the principles of dignity in your work place
  • Explain how you can work in a way that promotes dignity
  • Identify areas in your workplace where dignity could be improved
  • State what you will do to improve your practice in relation to dignity and respect

Training is appropriate for the following staff groups: Direct care staff in health, housing and social care settings.
