  • Discuss how values can differ between people
  • Understanding the consequences of not valuing the person with dementia
  • Review communication barriers
  • Describe two models of anger (Crisis cycle and Assault Cycle)
  • Discuss reasons for behavior through understanding anger and the crisis cycle
  • Discover strategies to reduce behaviour that challenges services
  • Review de-escalation techniques, including active listening
