Council Fee Uplifts 2019/20

2019/20 is the last year of the previously agreed 3 year deal awarded by Shropshire Council, and the details of the rates are;

Residential/Nursing

  • April 2017 2%
  • April 2018 2.5%
  • April 2019 3%

Domiciliary Care

  • May 2017 3%
  • April 2018 3%
  • April 2019 3%

Long Term Domiciliary Care

From 8th April 2019, domiciliary care fees (all types are included, including supported living but excluding reablement) will receive an increase of 4.9%. New rates will be rounded to enable a final fee divisible by 4 to enable 15 and 45 minute calls to be paid via the provider portal without discrepancy.

From this date there will be one capped rate of £15.40.

Residential and Nursing Homes Many of you have worked individually with the Council over the last year to ‘price level’ your fees and fix for an agreed period of time. Therefore the Council have advised that there is no blanket uplift for this provision. If you have not yet been involved in this individual process then there is still opportunity if you wish and you can contact Julie.edmonds@telford.gov.uk to discuss this further
