Course Aims:
This short briefing aims to introduce key adult safeguarding themes and concepts to learners who may have some contact or incidental contact with adults who use adult social care, health, housing or independent & voluntary sector services.
Alternatively, it could be used across those sectors as part of induction training.
Learning Objectives:
By the end of the session learners will be able to:
- Outline the statutory adult safeguarding principles
- Explain Making Safeguarding Personal
- State the 10 categories of abuse and identify examples and indicators.
- Identify how you would respond if you became aware of abuse
- Describe your role in relation to whistleblowing
- Explain how you would raise an adult safeguarding Concern in Shropshire or Telford and Wrekin
